Plantex® has an unique porous structure allowing water and liquid fertilizers to permeate through to the soil while at the same time allowing the soil to breathe. The thermally bonded fibre structure of Plantex® forms a strong material preventing the weeds from breaking through to the covering layers.
THE PLANTEX® BENEFIT:
INSTALL IN 3 EASY STEPS
CLEAR: Clear the area of any sharp stones and other debris that might damage the Plantex®.
Remove the bulk of the existing weeds.
LAY: Rake the area flat, and then roll out Plantex® over the cleared soil area. Edges can be buried and joins overlapped to cover large areas. Allow 10cm overlap. Cut an X-shaped incision into the Plantex® with a pair of sharp scissors or a knife in the area where you would like to plant plants. For beds with existing plants, gently lift plants through X-shape incision made as described above.
COVER: To extend the working life of the Plantex®, cover with at least 5cm of mulch, decorative covering of bark or gravel. On slopes it is advisable to use a heavier covering material. Use wooden strips to prevent the covering layer from sliding down. Water and feed plants as normal.

Ground Grid
DuPont™ GroundGrid™ is an innovative, three-dimensional and flexible grid made of Xavan®. This geotextile based structure is used to confine aggregate, stone, gravel or soil to provide a stable surface for both pedestrian and trafficked areas.
Its high tensile strength and the honeycomb structure prevent the infill from spreading thus avoiding subsidence and rutting. CoirMat is a biodegradable erosion control blanket manufactured from randomly arranged coconut husk fibres layered between photosensitive polypropylene netting to produce a coir mat.

EASY INSTALLATION
The Compost Bin is folded flat in its packaging. To expand the bin simply undo the toggles and allow the coils to unwind. Empty organic waste material into the compost bin and place the lid on top – fasten with the lid fasteners to keep the lid closed.
LOCATION
The bin should be placed on open soil. Because of the unique breathable structure, odours will not build up. The Compost Bin can be installed close to the house.
TIPS
To restack the material or to use the finished compost simply lift the lid. Sieve through the composted material before using it and place all the larger, uncomposted material back into the bin. REMEMBER to replace the lid.
3 PREREQUISITES REQUIRED FOR OPTIMUM COMPOSTING
AIR : The mass to be composted should always be in contact with the air, or oxygen. A re-stacking of the compost from time to time is recommended.
MOISTURE : Micro organisms develop best in a slightly moist environment. Too much moisture or a too dry compost mass affects the rotting process. The compost mass should be as moist as a squeezed sponge.
NUTRITION : The material to be composted should always be well mixed and cut or chopped as small as possible. That improves the supply of oxygen and reduces composting time.
WHAT CAN BE COMPOSTED?
Nitrogen-rich organic waste: fresh plant waste, like garden greenery, lawn cuttings, fresh leaves, fruit and vegetable remains, vegetable kitchen waste, potato skins, coffee grounds, teabags, fresh horse manure...
Carbon-rich organic waste: already dried vegetable material, such as straw, dry grass, dried autumn leaves, sawdust or wood shavings. This waste helps with ventilating the compost mass.
Fresh lawn cuttings and certain fresh autumn leaves on their own are too moist and too impermeable to air, and should therefore be mixed with shredded wood waste or dry leaves or bark.
Egg shells should be well crushed.
